About RTVW

RTVW LogoThis is a TV blog written by and for TV fans. If it’s on TV or related to something that’s on TV, we’re probably covering it. We’ve got everything from daily reviews of our favorite shows to interviews with the stars of your favorite shows to the occasional sneak peeks behind the scenes. We’re passionate about television and it shows.

Who’s Contributing?
When I (aka Rae, aka the TV Whore) started this blog… you know, back in the stone age (or 2004, as some call it), it was just me and my laptop. But contrary to what I believe is possible, I can’t actually watch every show out there. So I asked a few of my friends if they could help out occasionally. I still do most of the heavy lifting (or don’t do it, as the case may be) but if you’re around long enough, you’re probably going to run into some of these folks* as well:

Just Jody

Just Jody
Jo and I go way back. We bonded over our love for Buffy and Joss Whedon and we’ve been close ever since. If you don’t believe me, just check out my inbox. The emails back and forth could build a bridge between here and Canada. Acting as my sounding board, Just Jody (from Canada) contributes even when she’s not actually writing posts. If not for her, Friday’s wouldn’t be nearly as fun.

Spadada

Spadada
Spads isn’t around nearly as much these days. Apparently, persuing her dreams in Hollywood takes a precendence over blogging. Who knew? But, when she’s got a free moment, she still pops up as our LA correspondent. She loved TV enough to take the leap of faith and get a job in the industry which is what makes her posts fun and insightful reads.

Polter-Cow

Polter-Cow
Sunil’s got his own blog but occasionally moonlights for me, covering events on the opposite coast or joining in on group discussions. Our mutual love of Veronica Mars brought us together but we share a lot of the same tastes. When P-C recommends a book or movie, I know I’m bound to enjoy it which is exactly why I enjoy reading his take on television.

A Ramblings Timeline
And, finally, some history for you…

  • October 2005: After meandering around in no blog name land for a year and a half, the blog is christened with a new name and shiny new decor.
  • February 2006: The TV whore gets contacted by a TV PR rep and invited to visit the set of Veronica Mars. The TV blogging begins in earnest.
  • August 2007: The Great Switch from LiveJournal to WordPress!
