My favorite holiday movie, hands down is White Christmas. Bing and Danny singing, the huge production numbers, the big misunderstanding between Bing and Rosemary and the sugary sweet ending. Nothing will ever top it though While you were sleeping is a close second.

Easily my favorite holiday movie is the chipmunks christmas special. It doesn’t matter how old we all get hearing those squeeky little chipmunks brings a smile to my face:)

    I have the same as Harper47 :)

I LOVE White Christmas! I love the story, the singing, the dancing…EVERYTHING! Sisters (I had sister roommates in college. They could sing and dance out the whole number!) and White Christmas are two of my favorite songs.

I have to go watch it right now! :)

I was going to say “White Christmas” but I hate being a copycat sooo… I’ll go with Love Actually. I just watched it again the other day, it’s adorable!

I’ve always been a fan of the cheesy 2-hour ABC Family Holiday TV movies–where everything is neatly wrapped up with a happy ending in just 2 hours :) This time of year I always check out the ABC Family lineup to see their latest offerings–which lately seem to all contain Melissa Joan Hart and some other grown-up actor from an 80′s or 90′s sitcom I used to watch.
Also, always a fan of Santa Claus: The Movie and the Robbie The Reindeer specials (with original British cast voices).

I’m such a big fan of ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas. I actually print out the full schedule each year and highlight the shows I want to watch.
It’s so hard to pick a favorite Christmas movie or special, but my favorite is (like many others on this list) White Christmas with Elf being a close second and A Christmas Story being a close third. My favorite TV special is Frosty the Snowman. Around Christmas, I watch as many Christmas movies and specials as I can squeeze in. :)

Favorite movie: Christmas Vacation (but I like so many others!)

Favorite special: Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas (again, the best of many!)

    :)

My fav of the 25 Days of Christmas is definitely an ABC Family Original… “Holiday in Handcuffs!” I saw that it was actually played twice within the last couple of weeks (including last night!), and I enjoyed it immensely both times!

I love the ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas (definately have spent way too much time watching the past week rather than studying for finals) but I have to say my favorite holiday movie is Hebrew Hammer.

ooh – I love all of Vanessa’s! I absolutely love White Christmas, I watch it every year. Also, A Christmas Story…I love that TBS plays it all day on Christmas…it’s always on in the background at our house while my nieces open their presents…and I just love Elf, it just makes you happy watching it…another movie I love is Meet Me in St. Louis – it isn’t strictly a Christmas movie, but the I think the best part of the movie takes place during Christmas. Judy Garland singing to “Have yourself a Merry little Christmas” to her sister, and all the fun, romantic stuff that happens at the dance before that….love it! Plus, the proposal….I think I need to rewatch that tonight!

Rae, I love all the great ABC family movies they are airing right now! I’ve been watching a few myself. Also, hope you’ve been catching some on Lifetime too…They just had 12 Men of Christmas, which had Kristin Chenowith and Josh Hopkins in it! It was Adorable! I think you’d like it. I taped another one last night that has Joanna Garcia in it – if she is half as cute in it as she was in Priviledged – I’ll be happy! :) Plus, it also has Luke Perry….I’m not over my Dylan Mckay phase! Can’t wait to get home and watch it…

My favorite holiday movie is the Original “A Christmas Carol”

    Sarah C. says:

My favorite holiday special is the original animated “How the Grinch stole Christmas.” I know every word by heart and it still makes me happy every time I see it.

The “very Supernatural Christmas” episode and the Christmas Invasion Doctor Who special definitely both deserve mentions, too. Love both of those.

One of my new favorite movies is “Elf.” Other than that, I love “White Christmas,” too, but can’t stand “It’s a Wonderful Life,” though everyone else in my family likes that.

A movie that I watch every year at Christmas time is Love Actually. It’s one of my favorite movies. I saw it 3 times in the theatre (I know, obsessed much?). I just love all of the story lines and I’m deeply in love with Colin Firth. ;)
