The holidays are here and they’ve brought a lot of work with them. There’s the decorating and the baking and the gift buying and the card signing and the carol singing. Who can do it all alone?! Which is why I decided to write up instructions for creating a Holiday Work Wheel modeled after Seth Cohen’s Chrismakkuh Work Wheel from The O.C., “The Chrismakkuh That Almost Wasn’t.”

Supplies:
- Paper Plate
- Ruler
- Markers
- 1 piece of Construction Paper
- 1 Paper Fastener
- Pictures of Your Family/Friends
- Tape
Assembly Instructions:
- Use the ruler to draw two lines splitting the paper plate into four sections: INTERIOR DECOR, HOLIDAY SPIRIT, FOOD DESIGN, and SECURITY. TIP: Change/edit/add/delete categories to customize the work wheel into tasks that directly applied to your holiday activities.
- Color in each of the different sections with your markers.
- Cut an arrow out of the construction paper, making it large enough to spin.
- Poke a hole in the center of the plate and the center of your arrow and then use the paper fastener to attach the arrow to the plate. NOTE: Don’t make the hole too small or the fastener too tight or the arrow won’t spin.
- Gather pictures of your family and/or friends and use the tape to attach the pictures around the outside the plate.
- That’s it! You’re done. Now pick one of the folks around the plate and spin the arrow to see what holiday task they’ll be taking care of this year!

Oh, yeah, that’s right… I did one too. Of course, no matter how many times I spin, I end up doing all the tasks. Hmmmm. OK, you didn’t think we’d do all this and not get to watch the scene in question, did you? Watch Seth explain his Chrismakkuh Work Wheel below:

UUUUGH I can’t believe we won’t get any new Chrismakkuh episodes ever. It breaks my heart.
