Premiere Spotlight: Smallville, Supernatural, & It’s Always Sunny

It’s a good day. Two of my favorite shows return tonight, both in their fourth season, and I’m happy I get to enjoy them without the stress that is next week’s Thursday lineup. I hope y’all brushed up on your juggling skills because you’ll need ‘em with all the shows returning next week. But tonight…

It is indeed still on and back for an eighth season starting tonight. I stopped watching somewhere back in the third season but, according to my good friend Tube Talk Girl, fans can expect a fantastic premiere tonight. In the episode, the Justice League, lead by the Green Arrow, hits the Artic in search of Clark, who disappeared after the fortress collapsed. The team immediately has a confrontation with the new CEO of Luthorcorp, Tess Mercer. Meanwhile, Chloe is being held prisoner by a suspicious group who has discovered she has a new power, and Clark has been stripped of his powers by Jor-El.

Earlier in the week I admitted to being smitten by the first two episodes of the season and I stick by my promise that fans are going to love this premiere. LOVE IT! Not only is the story great but the show just looks amazing. As excited as I am about tonight’s show, I’m almost more excited to see everyone’s reaction to the next week’s episode. No, wait, I take it back. I’m eagerly awaiting the discussions that will happen after tonight because it’s bound to get everyone talking. Here’s a quick overview of what it’s about: It’s four months later and Dean wakes in a pine box. He’s been freed from Hell. He has a joyful reunion with Sam and Bobby, but it isn’t long before the three wonder what exactly pulled Dean from Hell and what it will want in return.

L-R: Glenn Howerton as Dennis and Rob McElhenney as Mac on IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA. CR: Craig Blankenhorn / FXI feel like I’ve been waiting FOREVER for this show to return. I miss my daily dose of Mac, Charlie, Dennis, and Dee. Of course the great thing about tonight is that we get double the dose! Yes, a full hour of Sunny tonight. You know you’re excited. I’ve seen the first half hour and, if I’m honest, I didn’t think it was all that great. More of an average Sunny episode. However, I have heard only great things about how hilarious the second half hour is and I’m bouncing in my seat as I think about it. Here’s the quick ‘n dirty about the two episodes: First up, in “Mac & Dennis: Manhunters,” Dee and Charlie eat some of Frank’s stash of extraordinarily tasty meat and won’t rest until they can get more. Meanwhile, Mac and Dennis take sport hunting to the next level. Then in “The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis,” Mac, Dennis, and Charlie take advantage of high gas prices by investing in barrels of gasoline and selling them door-to-door; Dee and Frank plot to brand Bruce Mathis as a terrorist leader when they find out that he plans to give their money to a Muslim community center.

Hi, this is random and OT, but I figured maybe you would know: I read that NBC is making their series premieres available on Hulu, but when I went there, all they had was clips. Do you know when that is or have you heard anything else about it? I figured if anyone would know, it would be you. :)

Yep. Will post the dates in just a sec but basically they’ll all be available ONE week prior to their premieres.
