Thanks to the PR folks at Warner Brothers, I got an early look at the premiere issue of the brand-new Official Supernatural Magazine that goes on sale today and I’m here to tell you that it’s a must-have for any Supernatural fan. It’s visually stunning but, more importantly, has lots of interesting information in it as well.
You’ll get a teaser for the upcoming Christmas episode that Sera Gamble told me last week would, “Ruin Christmas for you.” Since the writer Jeremy then shared some of what inspired the episode, I believe her. And you know that means I CAN NOT WAIT. There’s also an in-depth look at everyone’s favorite character, the IMPALA. Even better, you get a Metallicar centerfold. Awesome right?
For Jo fans, there’s a nifty little interview with Alona Tal as well as a frame-by-frame analysis of her very first episode, “Everybody Loves a Clown.” Speaking of hot blondes, there’s also an article about the newest blonde on the show, Ruby. Plus you get interview bits from Kripke, Jared, Jensen, and the show’s special effects supervisor Randy Shymkiw and a nice recap of the series so far. However, and those who know me can probably predict what I’m going to say here, my favorite piece has to be the interview with director Kim Manners. All that plus a few other features… and that’s just the first issue.
