The F(riday) List

It’s Friday so I suppose it’s a good day for a hodge podgy post, eh? So here’s a mix of personal, TV, and other stuff:

  • I’m behind on most of my podcasts and hadn’t listened to the new Neptune Pirate Radio episode. Then I talked to [info]spadada and she told me she loved what I said (I had called in to say why I loved VM). Since I couldn’t remember what I ended up saying, I had to listen. (No, I will not tell you which of the calls was me.) All of this setup has nothing to do with the actual podcast and everything to do with how very much I not only sound like my sisters but how much I actually talk like them. It’s so weird to me because it’s not like I’ve spent much time with them over the past ten years (no family feud, we’re just all over the country) or talk to them all that regularly on the phone. For what it’s worth, it can’t even be attributed to a regional thing as we were not the most stationary family in the world. My formative years were spent in completely region – nay, country – than my sisters’. So what causes it?

  • Click to view the enlarged poster. OY! What am I going to do??? I can’t handle it that the Pushing Daisies panel at Comic-Con overlaps with Bionic Woman. I really want to go so I can listen to the Q&A (although that part won’t be that long since the panel is only an hour long and it includes the screening) and get the FREE PIECE OF PIE you get for being one of the first 300 people through the door. Sigh. I really love this show. Plus, the new trailer makes me want to watch the episode again!
  • Psych returns tonight!!!! YAY!
  • I still haven’t seen this week’s Eureka. So much for SCI-FI having a thousand reruns of it. What to do, what to do?!
  • Speaking of shows I’ve been waiting to see, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia finally has a premiere date for season three: Sept 13th! SWEET!
  • I’m a woman and I aspire to work in TV so HerHollywood.com is totally the site for me.
  • I’m quite content with the results of SYTYCD last night but not so much with BB8. Meanwhile, I really do like how quickly The Singing Bee moves as opposed to Don’t Forget the Lyrics! Also, Burn Notice continues to delight.

Crap. I had more but my head is all over the place and I can’t seem to remember them. Eh. Oh well. Less for you to suffer through!

My plans for the weekend: Enjoy the new shows on Lifetime, PSYCH!, some scrapbooking, a trip to the Apple store, worky work, BB live feeds, book reviews, laundry, a movie, Freaks & Geeks, and some cleaning.

Yours?

I just have to ask: is it sad when I’m cutting icons for a show I haven’t even seen yet?

I’m listening to the podcast right now and I’m sort of in there, too, but I won’t tell why.

You’re asking this of the person already has two?

Heh. I bet I know, though!

Yeah, but you’ve at least seen the pilot at this point, haven’t you?

Besides, I figure that makes you exactly the person to ask. You know where I’m coming from :)

I’m sure you do. I can’t believe I said it, but now it’s out there.

Haha, true. I didn’t actually upload them until I had seen the pilot but I went seeking them out long before that. Still, I don’t think so… just shows you can tell quality. ;)
