Early to rise and early to bed makes a man healthy but socially dead.

I know I posted earlier but it feels like I haven’t been on LJ for weeks. Long story short: I fucked up my computer at work and the holidays are eating all of my home time. The good part about the latter is that it means I finally got my present off. I’m not sure how good I did although the extra present that I got to decorate the present will probably make up for the boringness/suckiness of the actual present. And, damn, I just realized I forgot to take a picture of it before I sent it off! If I thought I could get it to Michael before the VM folks go on break (which I can’t since I think their break either started today or starts Friday), I’d totally go get another one for him. Oh well… the thought and all that jazz.

Amazingly enough, I still seem to have new shows on most nights during the week. I was looking for to hiatus but it’s also nice to only have one or two new things to watch. I don’t have much commentary about things, though. I’m happy with the winners of TAR. This week’s episodes of HIMYM and The Class were quite amusing. The first third of Sunday’s Brothers & Sisters had my attention straying to other things but they pulled me back in at the end and, you guessed it, I cried. Day Break continues to rock which just scares me because I know it isn’t doing all that well in the ratings. I must know what happens! Plus, I love having Adam back in a show I like. Uh… oh! Last Friday’s Justice was probably my favorite so far! It helped that Jane Seymour was the guest star. I know there are more but I can’t think of them right now.

Hmmm, what else? This past weekend, Mo, Hannah, Hannah’s friend Erika, and I went to the ICE! exhibit at the Gaylord Palms Resort. It was pretty cool. Basically they fill part of their convention center with ice sculptures and they keep the whole place at 9 degrees and they ain’t lying about that temp. We were in there for an hour and a half and I felt like my face and fingers were going to fall off when we finally walked out into the warmth again (of course, that’s the best part of the whole thing! “Instant Warmth Ahead”). The extra twenty minutes spent sliding down the big ice slides they had set up probably didn’t help. Anyway, here’s my favorite picture from the day. HP was posing nicely with me and then just as Mona got ready to snap the picture, she did the liquid leg thing to try and slip under my arm… which is why she’s making that face and (if you can tell) I’m laughing at her and trying to hold her up. It’s also explains Erika’s face.

Clicky clicky for more pictures of us with the ice.

All the Flanvention coverage from this weekend was simultaneously heart-breaking and heart-warming. I’m glad that the people who went ended up getting something out of the weekend and, in the end, a weekend that should have been about how horrible some people can be (BE folks) really just showed the potential others have for being so generous and wonderful (celebrities who did their best to make the best of the weekend for the folks who showed up). I hope that everyone involved can get their money back and I hope that anyone who already paid for Neptune Noir can get their money back.

CRAP. I just watched an awesome preview from upcoming episodes of Lost. Damn them for always finding a way to pull me back in.

Anyway, I’m woefully confused by something that just happened on Day Break so I think it’s time to get back to my show. Hopefully I’ll be around a little more now that my computer is back to normal at work and I’ve gotten most of the holiday stuff under control. Cheers.

I agree. They should have shown that one much earlier in the arc. It showcased VG, it had a guilty client – it would probably have helped. Oh well – still fun to watch.

I adored Mother. Mother is becoming my Friends show and I’m so happy about that. So, so glad I didn’t stop watching this.

    Love the ice. Beautiful.

Glad you’re able to be out and about more. I miss Rae comments. Sniff, sniff.

Hi! Nice to see you posting again!

I think the VM folks start hiatus this weekend, they film today and tomorrow. At least that’s what I last heard.

I love that photo! I wish they did something like that out here, it looks really cool.
