Mon TV: Gosh, it seems pretty interesting right now.

Work is calling my name so I’m getting this post out early.

Prison Break
Well, Sara, what are you going to do now? I understand why you left Michael but it wasn’t exactly the smartest decision to make and, hey, in Panama you could’ve started fresh. I’m sure they’d be happy to have you as a doctor and no one would constantly bring up your past problems. I’m just saying… the new start might be better than you think.

I’d comment on the rest but I was distracted last night and I’m not really sure what else is going on. Who the heck is their father? See, here’s where not knowing the show’s history well enough bites me in the ass. Ah well, there’s always next week to get caught up.

Heroes
I’m glad that someone finally figured out Claire’s secret because she’s basically been putting it out there for someone to find out. Luckily for her it’s someone who is close to her and won’t reveal it to the world. I think. I wonder if her brother knowing will be important later? Oh, and also, was she faking the pain when he stapled her or does she feel a momentary sensation of pain only to have it recede immediately? It’s something I’ve been wondering with the way she does all the other things to herself. It’s rare that she flinches like that but she reacted pretty quickly and I think she’d be slower on the uptake if she were faking it.

MICAH!!! I can’t believe I didn’t start with that one. I KNEW IT! Now I need to figure out exactly what his powers are… he clearly didn’t fix the phone or it would have still worked when his Dad interrupted him. Did he have time to un-fix it? He seems pretty advanced in the use of his powers so maybe it doesn’t take much concentration for him to use them? I’m interested in the fact that he doesn’t think of Jessica as his mom. That seems more like dual existence than dual personalities, eh? I wonder if he knows that because he can see/manipulate the inner workings of things or because he’s read the damn comics? Also, it seemed like he’s met Jessica before but he never told his mom about her. I love the Niki/Jessica/DL/Micah combination so much!

Hey… Rena Sofer as Heidi, Nathan’s wife! Nice to see her again. Hmmm, well now I understand how Nathan could tell Niki that he still loves his wife very much and still sleep with Niki. It doesn’t absolve him in my eyes but it does make it easier to understand why he did it. I’m not sure the continuing to lie will help things though. It may provide hope right now but it’s going to be dangerous in the future. Also, he totally got the painting for Peter and then lied about it. What’s up with that? Was it because Peter didn’t believe him about the flying? Those two confuse me. Also, this is another instance of Peter having a somewhat visionary dream and Simone being near him. If he really absorbs the powers of those near him, then someone has to be near him for those dreams to happen right? I did think it was a nice touch that he didn’t tell Nathan the truth about his power. The less heroes who know what he can do, the better. I’ll note that Eden didn’t seem to pick up on what his real powers were either… because he’s a hell of a lot more useful than Issac in that regard and she didn’t have any interest in him.

Uh, was I the only one who was concerned about that crash on the road? I’m starting to get paranoid about everything that happens to these heroes. I wanted to tell DL to stay away because I was afraid it was a setup! Silly me. I did like how Hiro and Ando turned out to be on the road behind them even if it makes me want to question the timeline again. I’m resisting the urge but it’s strong…

And, finally, Matt. I suspect people are probably sick of his story with his wife already but I don’t think that’s fair. Of course he would want to patch things up and his not being able to would be the reason he’s willing to leave his life as he knows it now. I appreciate that they let us see that backstory. Although, I gotta admit that it’s surprising his wife didn’t once think of the man she was cheating with during those romantic days they were spending at home. No guilt whatsoever creeping into her thoughts and him picking up on it? Still, what a horrible way to find out! I did know it was his friend… they probably shouldn’t have had him in the very next scene with Matt if they didn’t want us to figure that out ahead of time.

As for Radioactive man… well I knew about him already because I saw him in the extended pilot. I’m not sure if it’s the same man or not and I have no way to compare. I liked the version of the story in the pilot much better, though. Probably because we met him after his wife had already died… I don’t want to comment on anymore because I’ve drawn some conclusions that I think are based on seeing that version of the pilot as well as things that happened in this episode.

And, hey, Promo Guy promised that the big event is coming! I’m sure we all suspected as much since it’s sweeps time but, still, YAY! Can’t wait for next week.

Studio 60
Crap. I forgot this was a two-parter. Ok, the first part was confusing and I think mostly because it wasn’t taking place in the studio and it took me a minute to identify people. I had no idea who the Chinese people were and I was afraid that I was a bad fan because it felt like I should know who they were. Happily, that turned out not to be the case and, in the end, I think that beginning actually helped make some of what was going on funnier than it would have been otherwise. More fitting with Danny’s reaction of, “Are you pitching me a sketch?”

I liked us finally seeing how Harriet’s religion really does affect the show. Plus, we finally got a sense for why being on the show can be a struggle for her. Up until this point, the show kept telling us that but not showing us it and I’m happy that we got some proof.

I don’t really want to comment too much on the rest but the next half of the story looks like it’s going to be pretty amusing.

Happy Marsday! Go read [info]fotada‘s review of 3×05. Also, I finally got the latest installment of Last Week on Veronica Mars done last night. I kind of cheated on the graphics so it’s not eligible for the VM Veoh Channel contest this week but you can still let me know what you think. (If the VEOH link doesn’t work for you, try the podcast version.)

On the schedule for tonight: Gilmore Girls, Friday Night Lights, Veronica Mars, and Boston Legal

Other TV Things: USA has a new show, Underfunded, starting this week and it looks pretty funny. Unfortunately it’s scheduled for Weds at 10 when I have two other shows. What’s a TV whore to do? I watched the pilot of 3LBS this weekend and should have a review up soon… maybe today if work stops knocking down my door long enough for me to take a writing break.

I voted! Ok, not yet but only because the polls weren’t open when I left for the office this morning. I shall vote tonight instead. Gonna leave work a little early and hope that my new polling location isn’t too crowded. Our Republican candidate for govenor stood up the President last night and the guys on the radio this morning were talking about how two years ago you couldn’t get away from the fact that Crist is Republican. His signs were all red and there was an elephant, etc., etc., but now he is doing everything he can to distance himself from his party. This talk amused me because on Sunday I paid attention to his signs for the first time this election and noted how he intentionally chose the colors to give a more Democratic feel. (The sign is all blue with only one thin red line and the state of Florida in red.) I wonder if it helped? So, anyway, if you live in the USA and are registered to vote… go visit the nice people at the polls and get stickered up!

Yeah, I…don’t know. Michael never met him? Really? I don’t remember that.

I think one of my favorite bits was Jack’s passionate defense of the Jesus sketch. Because he so clearly wanted to cut it, and then…reverse psychology, hee!

Nice video this week! I liked the milk cartons, heh.

Oh, ok, so I wasn’t the only one a little confused by that stuff. I guess we don’t know enough about their childhood but I always figured it was relatively normal and Linc was just the kid who went bad. Guess I should have known better.

Thanks! Jody made the milk cartons… because she’s awesome that way.
