We went to Glaze Under Fire tonight and I am quite pleased with the joe mug I made. Or, at least, I am pleased with it in its current state. We’ll see how I feel about it once it’s been fired and I see how well the colors do on top of each other. I should get it back next week sometime… I’ll share pictures once I do.
Between that and working on a new header (it’s not up yet), I feel it’s been quite a creative day. Plus it’s Wednesday already… really Thursday since I am about to hit the sack. We should always get days off in the middle of the week. Makes the week fly by!
And, since everyone else is doing it… let’s talk about Comic Con for a second. In case you’ve just lost your memory or you’ve only been skimming my posts for the past two months, I will be attending Comic Con this year (TWO WEEKS!!). In fact, unlike the very person who kept reminding me to pre-register, I actually did pre-register… LONG AGO. I am arriving Thursday morn bright and early – although, in my world of time, it will already be lunch time.
As of this moment, I am attending all four days although Sunday is in some question as others will be departing that day and I will be moving to a new hotel. Depending on whether I’ve seen everything on my list and/or haven’t made plans to meet up with folks that day, I may take off and make it my first day of San Diego-ing on my own.
I am attending with cadhla and friends. I have no idea of our agenda, if there is one, nor do I much care at the moment (as I prefer to just show up and look pretty). I’m flexible and do want to make sure and hook up/see people while I’m there so, if you’re planning something, holler. I will re-post contact information closer to the Con so that we have a means to communicate as I’m not sure yet whether I will be bringing my laptop with me on this trip or not.
I think that about covers it. I’m looking forward to seeing people again and hanging out. If you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about or you’re attending or just thinking of attending Comic Con, check out Seanan’s Guide to Surviving Comic Con.
Also, I am staying extra days. If you’re from the SD area and know of something I MUST do/see during those days, tell me! (Except SeaWorld.)
