I actually watched TV last night and I enjoyed the last twenty minutes of Bones (missed the beginning thanks to my recent DVR update, thanks SO MUCH Bright House!), Life, and Private Practice. I don’t have much to say about any of ‘em which works out because I don’t have the time to ramble about TV today. I do, however, want to clear out my inbox out a bit so here are bits of info and links I’ve been hanging on to lately.
Extra, Extra, Read All About It: Extra has a new social networking site where you can sign up to be an Extra friend and be entered in a Hollywood Experience giveaway. They’ve also got a bunch of different giveaways you can enter separately once you’re a “friend.” Here’s the info I got about it:
Flashy cars, pricey hotels and movie premieres aren’t just for celebrities! Extra and Audi are teaming up to give one Extra friend the experience of a lifetime! One Friend will win a trip for two to Hollywood, complete with chauffeur service from Audi — and two tickets to the premiere of Defiance starring Daniel Craig. Click here to sign-up as an Extra friend, and enter to win!
Be Careful What You Wish For… Ducky’s got the trailer and a preview clip from tonight’s all-new Supernatural, “Wishful Thinking.”
Please Welcome Liz Lemooooon! Is there any 30 Rock fan who doesn’t know tonight’s big guest star is Oprah? Well, now ya do. Anyway, here’s a sneak peek of her appearance:
Huh? I got an email about HossBoss’ new short (online) film HuH? and, as we all know, I’m in a quest to consume as much online content as possible so I decided to give it a shot. Yeesh. I am so not the audience for this one. However, that’s the case with most of the videos I’ve ever watched on Funny or Die and everyone else seems to find them funny so maybe you’ll enjoy it?
Grant A Wish: Has anyone seen Sears new commercials? Apparently they’re about granting wishes? (It was launched during this past week’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode.) Anyway. The song featured in the ad is Five for Fighting’s “World” and I like the song so figured I’d give it a shout out. Plus, I do kinda have a thing for holiday commercials and this one’s no exception. Is it weird that it has the vibe of those old WB promos? Also, I’m wishing for a 42″ flat screen HD TV for this holiday season, just in case there’s anyone out there if who doesn’t just want to just give a gift but grant a wish…
Goldie Opportunities: Ugh! I meant to record this past week’s Inside the Actor’s Studio because Goldie Hawn was the guest. I love me some Goldie and the bonus videos available on Bravo’s website are making me sad that I didn’t watch it on Monday. Good news is it’s re-airing this Sunday at 8AM.
Symphony in Lights: Not TV-related so it goes last on the list but I know a few of you like to make videos. Not only would this be a fun way to get into decorating your home for the holidays this year but it’d also be a way to possibly win a trip to Chicago. I’m a huge fan of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Getting free tickets to see them on the road? Awesome prize. Especially since it’d be one of their final performances of the Winter Tour.
